Reported from Cape D'Aguilar (Ref. 33067); Hoi Ha Wan, and Tung Ping Chau (Ref. 94637). Juveniles also reported from Starfish Bay, Kei Ling Ha Lo Wai, and Nam Wai (Ref. 125515). The species was observed on 11 to 100 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). One of the most popular species cultured in Hong Kong (Ref. 12092) and in floating cages (Ref. 12087). Also Ref. 2115, 125536, 128523, 129329.
